Your business may be small, but it is big enough to experiment, break rules and innovate. Don’t stand in your own way; be brave enough to create new possibilities.

How?

These steps will help:

  1. Look forward. Think about your future; what is problem is your business solving, how has it changed? Having a problem to solve will drive your business, and keeping the big picture in mind will help you focus and not worry about small details.

  2. Learn the rules like a pro, so you can break them like an artist (Picasso said that). Having the knowledge about what you are doing will help you make better decisions. Knowing the basics will help you break rules and create something new.

  3. Think big, but start small. You know the problem, understand the rules, now take your first step. Identify your niche audience and write a simple value proposition. It is easier to focus your energy on working once you know what you’re aiming for.

  4. Think big, again. You have a vision to help you reach your business goal, but if it’s not working, don’t be afraid to adjust your solution and change the direction of your business to better serve your niche audience.

  5. Become a platform. Successful businesses don’t just solve problems, they empower others to do so as well by sharing their story on a platform.

The world needs entrepreneurs with a desire to change things, solve problems and carve a future. This promotes innovation and progress. So, while the process is challenging, the only way to make a difference is to think big about your small business.
